Neuron Award 2023 for Promising Scientists in physics
Neuron Award 2023 for Promising Scientists in physics. Awarded for research achievements electrons and optical phenomena.
Martin Kozák researches fast electron movements and optical phenomena in solids, developed techniques for controlling electron pulses in a microscope with precise times, and shaping electron waves. His research focuses on interactions between electrons and light waves, which can be used in electron microscopy. An essential part of his research is also the study of electron dynamics in solids and nanostructures using spectroscopy. The results of Martin Kozák's work are internationally recognized, have been published in prestigious scientific journals and publications, and have received several grants, including the ERC Starting Grant. He currently lectures at Charles University and continues to search for a way to use microscopes to record videos of electrons moving in time.
