Stanislav Hencl
Member of the Scientific council in the field of Mathematics
He works at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University, where he serves as a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Analysis. He graduated from the faculty in 1999 and received his PhD in 2003.
He subsequently held a postdoctoral position at University of Jyväskylä in Finland and has collaborated with a number of international research institutions, including in the United Kingdom. His research focuses on mathematical analysis. He is the author of dozens of research papers published in international journals and a co-author of the monograph Lectures on Mappings of Finite Distortion, which is considered a standard reference in the field.
He was awarded an ERC CZ grant (2012) and has repeatedly received grants from the Czech Science Foundation. For his research, he received the Neuron Award for Young Scientists (2015).
