Lenka Slavíková is a top mathematician. Her specialty is functional analysis, a mathematical discipline studying linear spaces and mappings between them, usually of infinite dimensions. Functional analysis helps solve many problems outside of pure mathematics, e.g., in physics, biology, or economics. He works at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University. As evidenced by numerous invitations to stay at prestigious universities worldwide, her work is recognized by the wide scientific community.
How to calculate infinity? Is it possible to "zoom in" on infinite dimensions? Lenka Slavíková, laureate of the 2023 Neuron Award for promising scientists in the field of mathematics, is looking for answers.
