Mgr. Ota Pavlíček, Ph.D., Th.D.
Recipient of the Neuron Award for Young Promising Scientists in the Field of Social Sciences

In his research, he focuses on who the past scientific elites were and how they behaved. In addition to writing academic texts, he develops digital applications that enable time travel. He has been awarded the Neuron Prize as an exceptionally promising scientist with numerous significant projects and publications, as well as an organizer of international scientific conferences and workshops.
He works at the Institute of Philosophy of the Czech Academy of Sciences and serves as the deputy head of the Department for the Study of Ancient and Medieval Thought. He leads his own research group. He earned his doctorate at the Sorbonne in Paris and at the Hussite Theological Faculty of Charles University. He has also worked at several other academic institutions across Europe.
He is a recipient of the ERC Starting Grant.
